Rubicon Appoints Patrizio Zanatta as Sales Director for Southern Europe

Rubicon Project has selected Patrizio Zanatta, to drive the company’s publisher development efforts in Southern Europe.  Based in Milan, Italy, the former Head of Technology Sales at WPP-owned Real Media Group will be responsible for prospecting and acquiring new publishers in Southern Europe for Rubicon Project as well as growing business from existing publishers in the region.  He will report into Jay Stevens, SVP and General Manager, International at the Rubicon Project.
Drawing on his five years of experience of the advertising technology industry Zanatta will help online publishers in the region leverage REVV, the world’s leading real time trading platform, in order to safely, effectively and efficiently monetise their digital advertising inventory.  He will advise clients on the most effective monetisation strategies, including Real-Time Bidding (RTB) and private marketplaces, ensuring each ad impression is sold through the best channel for the highest price possible.
Zanatta spent five years at Real Media Group, formerly 24/7 Real Media, starting as a Technology Sales and Account Manager for Italy and rising to Head of Technology Sales for Europe managing sales managers in five countries.  He spent nine years in the aerospace industry before that, responsible for business development and ecommerce, after completing a degree in International politics at the University of Milan.
Commenting on the appointment, Jay Stevens, SVP and General Manager, International, Rubicon Project, explains, “Patrizio has spent the past five years building excellent relationships with publishers across Europe and providing valuable counsel on how to best leverage technology.  He also brings a good understanding of the dynamics in each of the local markets which is invaluable to crafting the kind of consultative solutions which deliver the best overall yield management for all our publishers.”
Patrizio Zanatta, Sales Director, Southern Europe, adds, “Rubicon Project has pioneered the automated digital advertising market and the company is now, where other players will be in several years time. In my last job, I saw publishers adopt REVV and benefit from revenue optimisation, protection, insight and control as well as first class strategic counsel from experts in online publishing across Europe.  I was keen to join such an experienced and industry-leading business.”
