Approval for two laning with paved shoulders of Ladnu-Degana section of NH-458 in Rajasthan

The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs has given its approval for the two laning with paved shoulders of the Ladnu (Nimbhi-Jodha) – Degana -Merta City section of National Highway-458 in the state of Rajasthan under the National Highways Development Project (NHDP) Phase-IV through Public-Private Partnership on Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) basis. The cost is estimated to be Rs.552.09 crore. The total length of road will be approximately 140 kms.

The project will expedite the improvement of infrastructure in the state of Rajasthan and also reduce the time and cost of travel for traffic, particularly heavy traffic, plying between Ladnu (Nimbhi-Jodha) – Degana-Merta City. The stretch connects Ajmer in the east, Udaipur in the south, Nagaur in the west and Sikar in the east. This stretch will help in uplifting the socio-economic condition of this region of the state. It will also increase employment potential for local labourers for project activities.
