Tribunal rules against telecom companies in 3G roaming case

Rohit Dhyani:  In the controversial 3G roaming case verdict on Tuesday, the telecom tribunal TDSAT decided against the telecom companies in the. The Telecom Disputes Settlement Appellate Tribunal (TDSAT) bench headed by its Chairman Justice S B Sinha deemed the 3G roaming pact between telecom companies as illegal.

Leading operators like Bharti, Vodafone and Idea had entered into agreement with one another to offer 3G mobile services in circles in which they could not succeed in getting spectrum in the auction.
