Rohit Dhyani: The 30-stock BSE Sensex gained over 350 points and traded firmly above the 17,000 mark Friday. The Nifty index surged above the key 5,250 mark, gaining over 100 points.
The sharp gains came on the back of a global surge in stocks following hopes of a positive outcome in Europe. Domestic sentiments were boosted by the new draft guidelines on the general anti-avoidance rules (GAAR) announced late night yesterday.
